Email Notification
Email integration allows users to receive notifications about rules and workflows directly via email. This feature provides real-time updates and ensures effective collaboration by keeping users informed about rule execution results for the following events:
- On Success
- On Failure
- On Error
Pre-requisites
Administrative Access is necessary to configure and test the email integration.
Email Integration with iceDQ
- Log in to the iceDQ website and log in using user account with admin privileges.
- Navigate to Administration Section > Integrations > Notification Apps and select Email.
- Fill in the SMTP Details as follows:

| Description | Enter a brief description for the email notification integration. (Optional) |
| Host | Enter the SMTP host address. |
| Port | Enter the SMTP port number. |
| From Display Name | Enter the display name the user wants to appear in the email notifications. |
| From | Enter the email ID that will send the notifications. |
| Envelope From | Enter the email ID for the envelope sender (often the same as the "From" address). (Optional) |
| Enable SSL | Check this box to enable SSL for secure email transmission. |
| Enable Start TLS | Check this box to enable Start TLS encryption. |
| Enable Authentication | Check this box to enable authentication for the SMTP server. |
| Username | Enter the username for SMTP authentication. |
| Password | Enter the password for SMTP authentication. |

The above-mentioned information should be provided by the server administrator who set up the SMTP application.
- Save and Test
- After filling in all the details, click Save.
- Select Test – The user that clicks on Test receives a test email on their email Id configured in USERS tab.
